Stepvera: Honest Step Counter

Most step counters count too much - car rides, phone shakes, phantom steps - or lose your day to a random reset. Stepvera is a pedometer built for one thing: a daily step count you can actually trust. Version 2.0 adds a daily log, week, month and year stats, new goals, and a fresh look.

ACCURATE STEPS, FEWER CAR MISCOUNTS
- Counts with your phone's hardware step sensor: battery-friendly and precise.
- The vehicle filter reduces steps counted during car and bus rides. While you ride, the dial says so and the number holds still, and your daily log shows the steps left out that day. You can switch the filter off in Settings.
- No hardware sensor on your phone? Stepvera tells you honestly and switches to accelerometer counting.

YOUR COUNT DOES NOT RESET
- A foreground service keeps counting with the screen off and the app in the background.
- Reboot-safe: your daily total survives phone restarts - no more waking up to zero.
- No account, no sign-up. Counting works offline, and your step history is never sent to us.

DAILY LOG
- A calendar that folds between month and week. Tap any day to see steps, distance, calories, active time, your goal, and hour-by-hour activity, compared with the 7 days before.

- Calendar week, month, and year charts - step back through your history.
- Personal records, time-of-day patterns, and the weekday you walk most.
- A clean steps counting app view - see your week improve at a glance.

STEP BREAKDOWN (ESTIMATED)
- An optional view that splits your total into flat walking, running, and stairs - always labeled as an estimate. Off until you turn it on in Settings.
- Stairs need a phone with a barometer.

GOALS THAT FIT YOU
- A daily goal (10,000 steps by default, adjustable 6,000-20,000) and a streak that counts every day you reach it - even days you did not open the app.
- A weekly goal: choose how many days a week to walk and build a weekly streak.
- A goal suggestion based on your last 28 days, plus type goals for floors climbed, running time, and brisk walking time (estimated).
- 16 milestones for total distance, total steps, and long streaks.

WEEKLY REPORT
- Your week on one page: total, daily average, best day, and how it compares with the week before.
- Optional Weekly report and Yesterday's summary notifications - off until you turn them on.

CALORIES AND DISTANCE
- Calories now take walking pace, running, and stairs into account. Add your weight and height in My info (optional - it stays on your phone) for a closer estimate. Past days are kept as they were.

BACKUP AND EXPORT
- Export a backup file and import it on a new phone. Importing merges, so no day ever goes down. Export your steps as CSV for spreadsheets.
- Your phone's own system backup can also carry your step history to a new phone.

NOTIFICATION AND REMINDER
- An ongoing notification shows today's steps and goal progress in the status bar - no need to open the app.
- An optional reminder nudges you at your chosen time if you are short of your goal.

BUILT FOR BIG SCREENS
- Tablets and foldables get a wide layout, in portrait or landscape.
