Simply didn't work. Ended up being stuck on flight with NO in-flight entertainment. Even if it worked, do you expect passengers to hold their phones throughout the flight? Not everyone own a tablet, and not everyone's phone (or phone case) has a stand. Even if passengers have a tablet or a phone stand, how do you expect passengers to watch videos while having meals when they seat-back table is occupied by the meal tray and hands are holding cutlery? How about when passengers' devices are running low on battery? You just don't care do you? Is Cathay Dragon now a budget airline? Introduction of this stupid system and removing entertainment hardware from the seats to squeeze in a few more seats and save a few bucks is a big mistake.
