Unlike Door Dash. Uber Eats or Grubhub, Takeout Central is a local business. They also have smaller zones (different drivers for Chapelboro, Raleigh, Durham, etc., making for faster deliveries. I also like their list of restaurants.

I've been using Takeout Central since the beginning of the pandemic. They by far have better service than the other delivery options out there. If ever I've given fewer than 5 stars on an order, it's been an issue with the restaurant and not the Delivery Hero. I also like that I'm supporting a "local" business and not a national biggie.

The delivery service is fine. What I HATE is the push notifications! I will let you know when I want to order something. I'm sick and tired of getting notifications about specials. I'm not going to order just because you are running a special. If I can't figure out how to disable the push notifications, I'm going to drop the app.

Poor user interface. It asks for the CVV every time, which is great, except it does not trigger the keyboard to pop up in order to enter the CVV info. I also cannot seem to access my profile to update my payment options without ordering. Good concept, poor execution.

Changed my settings to push notifications, I still just get emails. Want to look at past orders? Not going to happen.

Only use takeout central as a last resort for delivery and am reminded of why every single time! They either show up late, mess up the order or cancel your order with short notice. Uber Eats, Postmates, etc. are all a better option.
