★★☆☆☆ So nearly an excellent app... I'd been longing for a phone app version of my count-down gadget which speaks the remaining time with increasing frequency as time-up gets closer, and at last found this. Unfortunately the announcements dry up when the phone screen goes to sleep - though the option to keep going when the screen's manually locked works fine. The different voices are fun but would be even better if the last-selected voice came up by default.
★★☆☆☆ Unfortunately, the app is either poorly designed or poorly executed. While counting up, the app will only speak your chosen iteration once. So, if I choose 5 minutes, it'll tell me once 5 minutes have passed but not at 10, 15, etc. Instead, there's a long list of checkboxes that are inefficient to use. Also, the app crashes after the first spoken time if the screen is turned off & sometimes crashes if you're also playing music.
