Comments on Talkspace Therapy & Counseling for Android

I love that I found this app. My therapy sessions, specifically with Donna, have been so insightful and such a wonderful experience. The app makes it so easy to stay in communication with her through messaging. When it's time for our sessions it is easy to join and see her/hear her. I also appreciate the consistent reminders it has for the appointment. It's easy to set up recurring payments if needed and the insurance links super simple with it. This app makes therapy really easy. :)

I wasn't able to get the medications that I normally take are needed. However, my psychiatrist was amazing and informative and helped walk me through maybe some type of new medication that might work since talk space won't allow them to order the medications that I currently take, so I was very pleased with my experience. And I'm excited to talk with my psychiatrist again soon.

My therapist is awesome, and I do not feel it is a waste of my time when seeing her

★☆☆☆☆ Drina McHone · Sep 3, 2026

I had a great therapist for an over a year, and then I switched insurance. They closed my room and I could not get my therapist back. I submitted a ticket, and they told me my therapist was no longer a provider with them. Except she told me that she was still on the platform. After the 2nd time I submitted a help ticket, they closed my Talk space account. I thought this was a way to get help. I guess not.

Absolutely the biggest scam around. You can't convince me these "therapists" are real, licenses mean nothing when they can't provide useful service. First offered zero advise and second provider admitted she was unqualified to do couples therapy and canceled after taking my money for two sessions and provided nothing useful. I highly suggest finding a real provider, not th BS app.

★☆☆☆☆ Lace White · Sep 18, 2026

I have had nothing but bad experiences with the app and providers. The app constantly doesn't load or freezes. No provider I have met has done a proper assessment. They say they will do something, and you have to remind them to do their job, and you get left on read. One provider I saw was in bed wearing her pajamas, one forgot everything we talked about and didn't bother to open up my chart, the other one had someone walk into her room during our appointment and put a finger up and told me to wait.
