The Class is a music-driven somatic exercise method founded in 2011 by Taryn Toomey to regulate the nervous system and release stuck energy by moving the physical body.
Guided by our brilliant, extensively trained Teachers, each Class integrates a unique combination of movement, breath, music, and sound release to create physical, mental, and emotional openings. Challenging the physical state while nurturing the emotional with an emphasis on the mind-body connection—The Class is both an individual experience and a collective practice. Designed for all levels and types, The Class can be whatever you want, whenever you need, wherever you are. From playful and joyful to challenging and cathartic, every practice is your own.
To access all features and content you can subscribe to The Class by Taryn Toomey on a monthly or yearly basis with an auto-renewing subscription right inside the app.* Pricing can vary by region and will be confirmed before purchase in the app. In app subscriptions will automatically renew at the end of their cycle.
* All payments will be paid through your Google Account and may be managed under Account Settings after the initial payment. Subscription payments will automatically renew unless deactivated at least 24-hours before the end of the current cycle. Your account will be charged for renewal at least 24-hours prior to the end of the current cycle. Any unused portion of your free trial will be forfeited upon payment. The Class is something I've been looking for the past several years. I love the intention of the classes, the music is superb, and I feel like I'm connecting to like-minded souls. I highly recommend signing up if you have ever done Tracey Anderson, yoga, dance, Pilates or are looking for something new. I balance it out with jogging and 2xs a week crossfit to get heavier weights in. I love love love The Class.

The app functions well and the minimalist design is a plus, but the cost is indefensible. At $51+ tax per month in Canada, this costs more than most premium gym memberships or multiple streaming services combined. It’s a massive financial barrier for a tool meant to aid recovery. The pricing feels out of touch with the community it’s meant to serve. Will not subscribe, as I am not rich.

I like The Class in general but the app is shockingly bad. It lags all the time, videos randomly open even if I don't click on them, there are no options to connect to a screen so that I can follow the workout on my WMAR-TV... I find this very disappointing considering the price.
