Tides have a great influence on the lives of boaters, fishermen, surfers, coastal communities, marine life, and vacationers just to name a few. Directly or indirectly, the great flow of our massive ocean bodies of water impact the daily lives of everyone on this planet.
The cyclical movement of the Earth's tides are caused by a combination of the gravitational forces of the sun and moon as well as the shape of the costal region. Unlike simple tide clocks that you can buy in novelty stores, more accurate tide predictions use special data gathered by instruments located at each tide station. The data from these measurements are used to determine the harmonic components which then feed into the mathematical algorithms which predict tides for the future. The end results are tested for accuracy and adjustments are made as necessary.

Android version is weak on features compared to iPhone version. Interface could be much more intuitive. In the tide chart, days of the week do not match up with the monthly calendar days. Users should be able to set a default tide location.

Moving the map by sliding to the left or right will move the entire application. Huge design flaw. Tide info that I was referencing few hours prior also did not show at all while offline on water.

Used to be the BEST! Barely works anymore, 0/10 recommend. Also, it downloads the tide info every time you open it, so it doesn't work offline. Even if I have the app open, on the screen and navigate away, it loses all info. Very frustrating when tidal predictions for a specific location a year or two into the future are really simple to make. This dataset is not a lot of information and without that info this app is as useful as the free paper books that my dad used as a kid.

Unable to even connect to the app to request help. The error reads There was an error connecting to the Tide Graph Server. I have uninstalled and reinstalled with no change.
