Description
Find out how much time you gain because of the effects of relativity on Earth.
This app was built as part of a special BBC 4 programme on gravity. It uses your current location to work out how much your personal clock is affected by Albert Einstein's theories of special and general relativity.
The app calculates the difference in the rate at which time flows for you compared to someone standing still at sea level (measuring what is known as International Atomic Time) - the app shows how quickly or slowly you are ageing compared to this person.
App features: * Records how much time you have gained as a result of general and special relativity. * Displays the time gained per day.
The app uses your current location to calculate how your rate of ageing varies. This takes into account both your location and speed. The app records your location when it is open, and in the background to get a more accurate understanding of your own personal clock. We have worked hard to make this background collection of locations have as little impact on the battery life of your device as possible, while also providing you with the option to turn background updates off. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
Recent changes: Support for new version of Android.

I ended up here after watching the documentary Gravity and Me. Science has always inspired me, especially physics and I'm biggest fan of Einstein n Hawking. Thank you Amazon And Thank You Gravity and Me

I love science and your program has inspired me. So if your theory is correct about altitude and time would scuba diving slow down time when below the surface? Can you sample cloned deep sea life to give support the theory? I'm due to go to high altitude in Frisco,Co then drive to Las Vegas and then return.

interesting but flawed? if i move south to the equator will the effect of gravity (which will change due to the increased diameter of the earth) be affected by the additional speed i will be travelling at?

Downloaded the app as watching the BBC four programme looks great

Rubbish update Why have you taken the cross away from the "while you were away" and "in case you missed it" bits?bloody annoying. I want to clear them

On my galaxy a3, the app only works when the app window is open. Does not work in the background like it's supposed to. I've tried re-installing it, but still not working. Would be good app otherwise.
