Welcome to Train Hugger, the UK’s leading green train ticketing app. Whenever you book with Train Hugger, we plant a tree in the UK in partnership with the Royal Forestry Society. We’re planting trees you recognise in places that you’ve been to, in our bid to restore the British countryside. The price is the same, the seat is the same, the journey is the same. You can easily find the best fares, use Apple Pay or PayPal, save e-tickets to your phone, make amends or ask for refunds, all within the app. You can even keep track of how many trees you planted. Our customer service is on hand 7 days a week if you do need to talk to someone.

This is the train line app wrapped in trainhugger branding. Trainhugger will plant a tree in the UK for each booking. Ticket prices are the same but train line offers free booking on the day on travel, which trainhugger doesn't, and from what I have seen so far trainhugger booking fees are a little (~30p) more expensive at other times. 30p to plant a tree seems like a bargain to me, and I can afford it, so no qualms there. I was told this is an alternative to Train line with the same fees, but with a benefit to the environment. The fees are not the same, they charge £1.50 per transaction, Train line doesn't. Don't waste time or give them your data - because that's what you need to do before they show you the extra charge.

Installed as this it really is a great idea. Found that app does not support local railcards (Devon & Cornwall, for instance), then uninstalled.
