Typebar: Typewriter Keyboard

Real typewriter keyboard sounds: every key is a recording of a real machine, and the carriage slides home on every new line.
Typebar turns your Android keyboard into a vintage typewriter.

• VINTAGE TYPEWRITER THEMES
From a 1920s black glass portable to a 1950s mint portable, a WWII field machine, a '60s office model and a wooden decorative typewriter. Every machine is modeled in 3D, down to the steel levers under each key. A retro, aesthetic way to customize your keyboard.

• REAL TYPING SOUNDS
Recorded from real machines and tuned for each typewriter: light and crisp portables, heavy office models, warm wooden cases. Satisfying ASMR keyboard sounds with every tap.

• INK ON PAPER
Every letter is struck onto paper in ribbon ink while the carriage steps along. Press return and it slides back, just like a classic analog typewriter.

• TYPING PRACTICE AND SHARE
Type famous lines from Austen, Dickens, Shakespeare and more, see your WPM and accuracy, then share the page as a typewritten image. Great for journaling, letters and notes too.

• PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Nothing you type is stored or sent. No ads, no analytics.

• TYPEWRITER PASS (SUBSCRIPTION)
Every typewriter theme while you're subscribed (monthly or yearly, auto-renewing). Cancel anytime in Google Play › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions. Single typewriters and a one-time Lifetime Pass are also available.
