Measure phone's vibration and the earthquake with your phone.
Vibration Meter turns your Android device into a practical vibration and earthquake reference tool using the built-in accelerometer. It presents readings on the Modified Mercalli Intensity (MMI) scale and includes alarm level and beep alerts with a clean Material Design UI. With 5,000,000+ total downloads and a strong rating from thousands of users, it remains a popular choice in the TOOLS market.
Pros & Cons
Simple, uncluttered UI with Material Design
Calibrates readings for device-specific accuracy
MMI-based reference provides a familiar seismic context
Built-in alarm and beep alerts for quick notifications
Pro version adds ads-free usage, CSV export, stats, and screen capture
Lacks advanced real-time decibel measurements (no traditional sound level meter)
Free version has limited analytics and data export compared to some competitors
Seismic analytics are basic and primarily reference-focused, not full seismograph software

Description
Vibration Meter is in the 4th set of Smart Tools collection.
This app uses acceleration sensor to measure vibration or an earthquake, and it shows a reference as a seismic detector (seismograph).
The measured values are related to Modified Mercalli Intensity scale (MMI). If it is inaccurate, you can calibrate it so that maximum value is about 10-11. Please use the result only for reference because Android devices have a wide variety of performance and sensitivity.
* Main features: - Alarm level - Beep sound - Material design
* Pro version added features: - No ads - Sound Meter - Statistic menu - CSV file exporting - Screen capture

I'm Still trying to set the settings in a right accuracy level. Do you have any recommendations on how to set the right level in calibrations and to make it more accurate?🙂 We are experiencing earthquakes lately here in Mindanao, Philippines. Until now we under alert because of frequent aftershocks. Thank you.😔 Will you 5 star and recommend it later when I find it accurate and useful. Thank you.😃

Most people here don't know anything about vibration, so the reviews are nonsense, many even confuse the app with some other. The app does what the phone can do, and it is very good in that, free of ads. If you buy paid version you can export csv files, otherwise there's no history. If you need earthquake warnings you need to rely on state systems, this only measures vibration when it happens, and you need to know how to use it/understand what it measures. Pls add info about the units - MMI scale!

Using this while doing my car service / minor repair (before and after)...it's helping lot with car performance, specially vibrations monitoring

There is an interfering peak at intervals of exactly 240 seconds on all recorded outpit signals. I guess they are some kind of marker but interfere with analysis of the signals.

Worst app. To test it, I was literally shaking my small study table violent af. But it was showing 0.2-1.0 scale earthquake. Lol if my table had shaken that much in an earthquake, ig I wouldn't be here to write a review

Awful legit would only pick up a vibration if you threw your phone at a wall... abso rubbish

Takes control of phone. Difficult to log or screenshot readings. Not good for low frequency vibration. Must hold in hand and not breathe to measure vibration in furniture caused by neighbor. Does not neadure vibration if placed on floor. Good for actual noise.
