Vidpress: Video Compressor

A video that's too big to send is one of the most common small annoyances on a phone. Vidpress shrinks it in seconds, right on your device, no upload and no waiting for a server to hand it back.

WHATSAPP-READY IN ONE TAP
The WhatsApp preset automatically fits your video under the 16 MB media limit while keeping the best quality that budget allows. Pick a long video that would normally get stuck failing to send, and Vidpress hands you back something that goes through instantly.

FAST BECAUSE IT USES YOUR PHONE'S OWN HARDWARE
Vidpress doesn't route your video through a slow universal converter. It uses your phone's built-in hardware encoder, the same chip that handles video when you record, so compression finishes in seconds instead of minutes and barely touches your battery.

100 PERCENT PRIVATE, ON-DEVICE ONLY
Your video never leaves your phone. There's no upload, no account to create, and no cloud storage involved at any point. For anything personal, a family video, a moment you don't want sitting on someone else's server, that matters.

PRESETS FOR EVERY DESTINATION
Choose WhatsApp for messaging, Social media at 720p for quick posts, or High quality at 1080p when you want to keep more detail. Upgrade to Pro and you get full custom control over resolution and bitrate instead of picking from a fixed list.

SEE EXACTLY WHAT YOU SAVED
Every compression ends with a clear before-and-after comparison, so you know exactly how much space you got back before you save to your gallery or share with a single tap.

COMPRESS MULTIPLE VIDEOS AT ONCE
Instead of repeating the same steps one video at a time, Pro users can select several videos together and let Vidpress work through the whole batch, tracking overall and individual progress until every file is done.

A TYPICAL MOMENT
You just recorded a video for a group chat and the send button won't cooperate, the file is too large. You open Vidpress, tap the WhatsApp preset, and a few seconds later you're back in the chat sending a file that actually goes through, without touching a computer or waiting on an upload bar.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: Does my video get uploaded anywhere during compression?
A: No. Everything happens on your device using its own hardware encoder. Nothing is uploaded or sent to a server.

Q: Will compressing my video make it look bad?
A: The WhatsApp, Social media, and High quality presets are tuned to keep the best quality possible within each target size, and Pro's custom settings let you fine-tune further.

Q: Can I compress more than one video at a time?
A: Yes, batch compression is available as part of the Pro upgrade.

Q: Do I need an account to use Vidpress?
A: No account, no sign-in. You open the app and start compressing.

Q: What happens if my video is too long to fit the WhatsApp limit?
A: Vidpress warns you before compressing if a video is too long to realistically fit under the limit, so you're not surprised by the result.

WHO IT'S FOR
Anyone who's had a video stuck failing to send, anyone running low on phone storage, and anyone who would rather not upload personal videos to a random online compressor finds a real use for Vidpress the first time a file won't send.

A one-time Pro upgrade removes ads, unlocks custom resolution and bitrate, and enables batch compression. The core WhatsApp, Social media, and High quality presets work without it.
