Description
While there are a number of alternatives for recording fitness activities, “Where Was I?” has plenty of options to configure it, as well as to visualize the data, both when you’re recording it and after that. Also, it doesn’t force you to share data with anyone.
Recording features: - Choose minimum distance and time between successive points, thus balancing battery life and accuracy, based on what is more important for what you’re doing - Emit a sound when the GPS location is inaccurate (based on a threshold you choose), which is quite important when you want to create a map or to return later on the same path
Viewing features: - Select a part of an activity to have it highlighted on a map - Use smoothing that you control to account for normal variations in GPS-reported locations (without any smoothing, it may look like you ascended 100 meters or more in 1 hour when you actually ran on a level track, due to the fact that the reported altitude varies slightly from one measurement to the next) - See in a grid statistics for the full selection, the last 10 minutes, the last minute, as well as the instant values for duration, pauses, distance, speed, slope, ascent, descent, altitude difference - See a graph with one of these values, based on either time or distance: absolute altitude, altitude difference, distance, total pause, horizontal distance, speed, pace, slope, ascent, descent - Exclude from viewing recorded locations that have poor accuracy - See a simple grid with the most important values - See GPX or CSV data
Export features: - Choose between several formats: GPX, CSV with the location data, or accuracy data - Export your tracks using whatever is configured in Android (like Google Drive or GMail, but also many others)
Note: - Keep in mind that the accuracy of a phone’s GPS might not be that great, especially regarding altitude, even on high-end phones.
Recent changes: Bug fix: Clicking outside a selection popup doesn't allow the popup to be shown again
