Description by Matthias Meier (from Google Play)

If the "WiFi Standby Policy" on your phone doesn't work and the WiFi stays always active during standby mode (as on my SGS3) then this little App helps by forcing the WiFi off when the device enters the standby mode - and on again when the display is switched on again.

Be warned: with active "WiFiStandbyKick" any downloads odr internet sessions will be cut when the phone goes to standby!

(sorry, the app is "as-it-is" without support nor guarantee)

Recent changes:
V 1.2
- activates WiFi only if it was active before entering standby mode

V 1.2
- Airplane mode added (prevents starting of WiFi when wakeup in airplane mode)

V 1.1
- new setup parameter which allows to specify an additional delay time between screen off and WiFi shut down

Comments on WiFi Standby Kick for Android

★★★★★ HTC Desire 500 Working as it should but i was having problems with disconnecting regular calls, found out that this app had to do something with that, maybe when screen is off it shuts down WiFi but then mobile data is automatically enabled and in that process calls get dropped. Its the phone problem off course... Go for this app, its great and does the job.
