Comments on Winnipeg Transit for Android

★★★★☆ Chrystine Dreams · Sep 2, 2023

I mostly use this app to see when a bus will be at a particular stop. It's helpful in that sense, and you can refresh the screen to have it update. It is less laggy than viewing the website on my phone's browser. For people complaining about the app being inaccurate, Winnipeg's city transit service is not the most reliable, smooth running nor well scheduled bus service. Buses often being late or canceled or missing connections is common occurrence has nothing to do with this app.

★★★★★ Noah Cook · Sep 10, 2022

Great app from an outstanding public transportation network, that has only improved over time. Except, its full potential of a network is sometimes not met correctly. But it's impressive to and an honor to be able to have a network of transit that offers diverse and easily accessible routes to many important destinations. It may take you a while to understand how this public service of a major and important city operates fully, as you may see flaws first. But underneath. It's more than you think.

★☆☆☆☆ Mel G · Aug 19, 2025

Ever since the transit changes this app does not give even remotely accurate arrival times, or even daily schedules. I just missed a bus because it wasn't showing on the schedule at all, so I started walking, and it zoomed past me 5 minutes later.

★★☆☆☆ Jade Kwok · Sep 30, 2023

Although the app is useful in telling you the routes of the bus stops, it doesn't update you on the new route if buses get re-routed. Was very confused when a bunch of buses got re-routed due to the Truth & Reconciliation Walk, but the bus app will still show you the old route and not the re-routed one when you try and plan a trip. The app can be helpful at times, but is in dire need of major improvements, such as showing the changes to a route in the case of stop closure or public events.

★☆☆☆☆ Kirby Oryniak · Oct 23, 2025

Unbelievably inaccurate bus times, will show buses have passed when they're actually a couple of minutes late, show they're late when they're early and everything in between.
