Microsoft retired AI-102, Azure AI Engineer Associate, on 30 June 2026. Its successor is AI-103, Developing AI Apps and Agents on Azure, built around agents, multi-agent orchestration and Microsoft Foundry rather than the older service-by-service approach.

250 QUESTIONS, EVERY OPTION EXPLAINED

Each question explains why the right answer is right and why each wrong answer is wrong - 1,019 written explanations in total. On an exam where several options look plausible, understanding why the near-miss fails is most of the skill.

IT TEACHES THE CURRENT NAMES

Microsoft has renamed this stack twice. Azure AI Studio is now Microsoft Foundry. Cognitive Services are now Foundry Tools. Material that still uses the old names is out of date, and this bank uses the current ones throughout.

WRITTEN FOR AN ENGINEER

This is an associate-level developer exam that assumes Python experience. The questions are about design decisions and tradeoffs - which service, which deployment, which control - rather than definitions.

Questions are distributed across the five skill areas in the exam's published proportions, so study time lands where the questions actually are.

BUILT FOR FLIGHTS

The only part of the app that uses a connection is the optional News tab, which reads a public RSS feed of AI news. It caches what it last loaded, so it still shows something offline, and nothing else depends on it.
