Point your phone at the sky
Live sky mode follows your phone with its motion sensors and compass, set to true north. The sky on the screen lines up with the real one, names and all. Turn on the camera and the names sit on the real view. Search for Saturn, and an arrow leads you to it.
Tap anything for its card
Each card says what the object is, where it is now, and when it rises and sets. About 200 galaxies, nebulae, star clusters and bright stars come with real images from observatories, space telescopes and sky surveys, each with its credit.
The Moon and the planets up close
Tap Close-up and fly in until the Moon or a planet fills the screen. You see its real surface, its phase right now, and Saturn's rings with their shadows. Turn it with your finger to see any side, even the far side of the Moon.
Stand on another world
Visit 35 worlds: the Moon, Mars, Jupiter's moons, Titan, Pluto and more. A short trip takes you there. Choose a place on its globe, such as Apollo 11 or Jezero crater, and look up. The Earth hangs in the Moon's black sky. Saturn's rings arch over its clouds. You can also float near another star, or inside a star cluster or a nebula.
Travel in time
Move the time forward or back and watch the sky turn. Play it as fast as a day each second, or jump to any date from the year 1000 to 2999.
A deep sky
Zoom in and more than four million faint stars fill in, with hundreds of nebulae, galaxies and star clusters.
Tonight
• What is worth seeing tonight from your place, and when the sky is darkest
• The bright planets and the finest sights, with the time to see each
• Passes of the space station
• A calendar of the coming year: eclipses, meteor showers and more
• Reminders, so you do not miss a moment
• Eight guided tours of the sky, read aloud if you like
Made for real nights
• Red night mode keeps your eyes used to the dark
• The Night sky button shows the stars even by day
• Almost everything works offline, far from any city
Standard and Advanced
AseMoon starts in Standard: the sky, its names, the cards, search, Tonight and four simple layers. Switch to Advanced in the menu for every layer and tool:
• Grids, constellation boundaries and star patterns
• Constellation art, satellites, comets and asteroids
• Clouds from the weather forecast, and the real hills and mountains around you
• Field of view circles for binoculars, telescopes and cameras
• Observing lists and a log, kept on your phone
• My telescope: your gear and eyepieces, polar alignment, alignment stars, and push to with your phone on the tube
Private by design
No account, now or later. No ads and no tracking. Your exact location stays on your phone. The camera view is never recorded or sent.
Free, and clear about it
AseMoon is free. Some features carry a PRO badge. In this version they are free for everyone, and there is nothing to buy. Later they may become part of an optional AseMoon Pro.
The name AseMoon means "the sky". Made by Albaloo.
