Clicker Connect SymbolStix enables young learners and struggling writers to take their first steps to independent writing by using words and phrases with the support of symbols. Extensively used in schools around the world, the Clicker product range has been continuously developed by Crick Software for over 20 years.

DEVELOP INDEPENDENT WRITING SKILLS
Students choose from clusters of symbol-supported words and phrases to produce their own writing. Both the symbol and the text are displayed, encouraging learners to make the connection between them.

SPEECH FEEDBACK
As each sentence is completed it is spoken aloud, helping learners to review what they have written and to understand the link between the symbols they see and the words they hear. Students can also listen to words/symbols before using them, to help them choose the one they want.

INDIVIDUALIZED LITERACY SUPPORT
Create writing activities using any text and add symbols or pictures to support each word or phrase. Included with the app is the SymbolStix library of over 24,000 symbols plus the Crick Picture Library of 3,500 curriculum pictures.

DIFFERENTIATE SUPPORT ACCORDING TO NEED
• Color-code words or phrases to emphasize sentence structure

ACCESSIBLE FOR ALL
To make access easier for those with physical challenges, the unique SuperKeys option makes words easy to target. Tap anywhere within a cluster to enlarge it, and then tap the word or symbol you want. The keyboard works in the same way, with the keys grouped into just six large clusters that fill the keyboard area when expanded.

ENJOY WRITING SUCCESS
The child-friendly Sassoon font included in the app makes Clicker documents look great on screen and on paper. Print your work to any Airprint-compatible printer, or share it via email, AirDrop, Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive or WebDAV. As they experience success, students begin to discover the pleasure of independent writing!
