Constellation Finder & Planner turns one observing site, time, target and telescope setup into an offline plan you can carry into the field and preserve as a complete record.

FIND FROM THE HORIZON

Search bundled constellations, bright stars and planets. Enter a site and time to see exact altitude, azimuth, horizon position and cardinal direction on a dark field plot. Manual coordinates, search and reticle controls always work; location and device heading are optional.

PLAN WITH YOUR TELESCOPE

Choose a target, observing time, site and equipment profile. Inspect rise and set times, maximum altitude and a calculated altitude path. Telescope focal length, eyepiece focal length and apparent field produce magnification and an estimated true field-of-view overlay. Save the plan for Field Mode.

USE A RED-SAFE FIELD VIEW

Bring the selected target, site, time, equipment and calculated coordinates into large red-safe controls. Check off the target, then add what you actually observed without leaving the connected plan.

KEEP A REAL OBSERVING LOG

Record the observer, local time, site, telescope and eyepiece, sky notes and observation note. Search the chronological logbook and correct a saved record in place so its preview and exports remain aligned.

EXPORT COMPLETE LOCAL RECORDS

Preview the exact observation rows before creating a local PDF or CSV. Preview, PDF and CSV use the same coordinates, units, equipment, time-zone meaning and data attribution. User-selected backup and restore preserve authored sites, equipment, plans and observations without carrying purchase authority.

PRIVATE AND OFFLINE

The astronomy catalog and calculations are bundled. No account, camera, remote catalog, weather feed or remote analytics is required. Your observer archive stays on the device unless you choose a local export or share action. Location and motion are requested only from the controls that use them, and manual entry preserves the complete workflow when either permission is declined.

The included Review Sample site, equipment profile, plan and observation are clearly labelled illustrative and can be removed. Altitude, azimuth, rise, set and field-of-view values are descriptive calculations from the entered site, time and equipment. They do not promise visibility, weather or observing safety.
