DeMinds is a local-first Markdown and mind map workspace. It brings files, web pages, mind maps, and shared links together as structured Markdown knowledge you can keep editing.
Open supported MindNode, XMind, and FreeMind maps, along with Markdown, TXT, DOCX, HTML, and OPML documents. Choose content from a Markdown Package or Obsidian Vault. Useful hierarchy, links, and images are preserved whenever possible.
With DeMinds, you can:
• See the structure and keep reading
Explore headings, branches, and Notes in the Universal Mind Map. Search for a passage, then continue in Markdown Preview. Links between the map and the text make long documents easier to navigate; on a wide screen, see both side by side.
• Edit the same Markdown in two ways
Rich makes supported content easier to format visually. For precise changes or content Rich cannot safely handle, edit the Markdown source directly. Add images, then preview and reuse images from the same project—including ones inserted in your current editing session before you save.
• Bring online content into your workflow
Open supported public documents and web articles, including some research articles, public ChatGPT share links, and X articles readable without signing in. In public GitHub repositories, follow links between a README and related Markdown documents. Where possible, keep useful article structure, images, code, and formulas.
• Return to work in progress
In Continue Working, find projects by stage, time, or Category. Add a public Feed or GitHub repository README to Content Sources and check for updates when you choose, without automatic background checks. With “Continue with AI…”, prepare a file for an external tool, compare the returned version, and resume the original project.
• Choose your Workspace
Switch between your device and iCloud. When bringing projects into the current workspace, choose the missing ones without replacing existing projects; a full replacement needs separate confirmation. iCloud availability depends on your device and account.
• Take your work with you and share the reading experience
Export a Markdown File, a Standard Markdown Bundle with related assets, or a PDF. DeMinds Plus also lets you export a Full Mind Map as PNG and create an Interactive View with the body, map, or both. Publish a public link through GitHub Pages in your personal account; disconnecting GitHub does not delete published files.
On iOS 18 or later, where supported by the system, temporarily translate the preview, map titles, and Notes without changing the original.
Core work in DeMinds needs no account. Documents, edits, and history are processed on your device or in your chosen Workspace, not on DeMinds servers. Web pages, remote documents, Content Sources, iCloud, translation, and publishing use the relevant network or system services when you enable those features.
DeMinds Plus also adds the Original Mind Map, Presentation Playback, Workspace Backup import, and a higher project limit in Continue Working.
