8.1 Highlights:

• Introduced ability to auto-save forms in the background in order to preserve the patient's progress in case of an interruption in the form fill session
• Reverted the Date and Time control interface in the iPad client and SDK to the more familiar and efficient spinner controls
• Focus is set to the control after the user navigates by clicking a link on the Items Remaining dialog in the iPad client
• Updated the form navigation methodology to better implement collection views for easier, smoother scrolling and navigation
• Added text-to-speech support using a new _Speak() JavaScript extension method configured in Designer
• Added a parameter for disabling the swipe, pinch, zoom and double tap gestures in the Form Fill window in the iPad SDK
• Updated look and feel with simplified user experiences throughout all of the Admin screens
• Added the ability to quickly copy sharing links to the clipboard from the Form Discrepancy and PreCapture Form Discrepancy reports
• Updated the Email Settings screen to support using a SendGrid API key instead of an SMTP address
• All new form tile layout in the Add/Edit SmartSet screen that supports collapsing and expanding tile sizes for simple form reordering
• Support for Use Implicit Credentials feature when authenticating through Security Agent for our Logical Ink SaaS customers

• The copy/paste layout functionality in the Responsive Editor now applies to child objects of a group
• Form Fill Launch supports a BypassOverride setting for overriding the Server's setting in the web.config file
• Added an API for downloading report data through an authenticated, encrypted connection
• The Message Control ID field (MSH 10) is now reported to the log file for better troubleshooting and traceability
• The content of the Expired Link page in PreCapture is now configurable through the PreCapture Localization feature
• All clients use the URL found in Settings for token refreshes instead of the URL provided by the server
