Zen Teleprompter: Video

Read your script while you record on iPhone or iPad. Zen Teleprompter brings scrolling scripts, camera recording, editing and captions into one app.

READ AND RECORD TOGETHER
Use the front-camera overlay to keep your script close to the lens. The panel is translucent, so you can still see the room behind it. The reading line sits near the top, where a viewer cannot tell you are reading. Adjust text size, spacing, panel height and scrolling speed. Set a countdown and pre-roll before your take. Recording resolution and frame rate depend on your device.

YOUR SCRIPT, YOUR SETUP
Use Standard mode for reading without a camera, Selfie mode for recording, or Mirrored mode with compatible teleprompter glass. Focus windows, cue points, loop controls and volume-button nudging help you find your pace. Follow my voice keeps the line you just spoke in the middle of the panel.

WRITE AND ORGANIZE
Write Markdown scripts with a formatting toolbar and readable preview. Search, favorite, archive, duplicate, import and share. Import plain text, Markdown, RTF, PDF or a web page. Export PDF cue sheets for rehearsal. Each script keeps its associated recordings together.

FINISH THE TAKE
Trim a recording, remove silence, make jump cuts and adjust playback speed. Apply supported color looks, background blur and reframing. Export in portrait, square or landscape formats.

CAPTIONS AND AUDIO
Add burned-in captions or export SRT captions. Adjust audio with normalization, noise reduction and voice enhancement. Add included music or your own audio, with fades and ducking under speech. Merge takes from the same script and share the result.

PRIVATE SCRIPTS
Scripts are stored on your device. Optional script sync uses your personal iCloud. Recordings stay in the app unless you export them or save them to Photos. We do not host your script library and we do not use advertising.

The app counts anonymous usage so we can tell which features are worth keeping, such as which screens are opened and whether a take was kept. No script text, no titles, no recordings, and nothing that identifies you. Turn it off in Settings at any time.

AI SCRIPT STUDIO, AND WHAT LEAVES YOUR DEVICE
Script Studio is optional and stays off until you agree to it. When you use it, the brief you type, or the script you ask to rework, is sent through our server to a third-party AI service, with the length, tone and pace you chose. Nothing else goes with it: not your name, not your other scripts, not your recordings. The text is not used to train models and is not kept. Our server stores only an anonymous count, so your monthly allowance works.

If you would rather not use our server, add your own Anthropic API key and your script goes straight to Anthropic with no monthly limit. The key stays in your device Keychain.

FREE AND PREMIUM
Zen Premium unlocks unlimited active scripts. See current limits, plans and pricing in the app. English and Spanish interfaces are available.
