Doesn't recognize drone connection. Gets LAAC authorization but useless if it won't let me fly. Update: this is a DJI geo-fence issue. I had to go through them to register my profile for unlocking then manually upload LAAC credentials to get the zone unlocked. I also read that on Aloft's website that Aloft can't control DJI drones that operate from the DJI app, so that's a bummer. Review updated but won't get 5 stars until the two can communicate.

Kitty Hawk was easier to use. With this app, I can't figure out how to simply take off even though it's easy to find the macro fly option. If I can't take off, I can't fly in cases where DJI fly won't let me. A tutorial would be helpful that specifically answers this question, though it sounds as though it's not an option at the moment with the Mavic Air 2 due to need for updating. Also, this app frequently has random errors with not letting you request LAAC to the max amount per FAA.

The app causes my phone to crash. Running ir in Galaxy s23. App will load but crashes when I hit fly. Phone screen goes black. I heard Kitty Hawk was a good app and replaced by this one. It's a shame I can't use it.

This app has become a joke! Useless! The map layers do not load. Sometimes they do if you sign out and sign back in but the only work for one authorization and if you go to put another one in even 30–60 minutes later the map layers disappear. I thought this app was supposed to be the gold standard for LAAC and Airspace Authorization, but it's clear that they cannot fix the glitches. Switching to a new app now!
