Description by Empatiq Written by the developer, not by AppBrain. Click to read.
Always Weather puts the day on one calm screen. Slide along the hours and everything follows your thumb: the time, the temperature, what it feels like, the wind and the rain. Each hour settles into place with a light tick, so you can find 5 pm without looking twice.
See the rain coming
One plain sentence sums up the day, like "Rain from 13:00, clearing by 16:00." or "Dry all day." It answers the question you opened the app for.
Two ways to see it
The same forecast, shown the way you like. Pick one when you first open the app and switch any time in Settings.
• Sky: the whole screen takes the colour of the weather at the hour you choose.
• Paper: warm and typographic. Just the words and the numbers.
From the forecasters who know your sky
Where you are decides who makes your forecast: the Met Office in the UK and Ireland, Deutscher Wetterdienst in Germany, the US National Weather Service in the US, and MET Norway everywhere else. Prefer another? Choose it in Settings.
Official warnings, calmly put
When the national weather service issues a warning for where you are, one short line says so, and a tap shows it exactly as they wrote it. In the UK these are Met Office Weather Warnings; in Ireland, Germany, Norway and the US, the national service's own.
The next hour, in the UK and Ireland
A line from the Met Office's radar-based forecast tells you what the next hour holds, like "Rain likely within the hour." or "Dry until at least 17:00."
Made for Googlebooks too
On a Googlebook, a tablet or any wide window, the hour you're looking at sits on the left and the days ahead on the right, and the widget spreads across the desktop in two columns. Swipe sideways on the trackpad, or use the arrow keys, to move through the hours.
What you get
• Today hour by hour, and up to 10 days ahead
• Feels-like temperature, wind and rain for every step
• What to wear for a walk, a bike ride or a run, in words and pictures, with notes for rain, wind, frost and sun, and the best time to go out
• Around the house: when to bring the washing in, frost for the plants, gales, and a good day to cut the grass
• How warm today is against yesterday
• Rain drawn hour by hour by how hard it falls
• Sunrise, sunset, first and last light, and golden hour
• Your current location and up to 10 saved places
• A home-screen widget with the next few hours and what to wear, wide or square
• Opens straight to your last forecast, even without a signal
• °C or °F; mph, km/h or m/s; mm or inches; 24-hour or 12-hour clock
• Light and dark themes
Easy to use for everyone
Works with TalkBack: swipe up or down to move through the hours, and each hour is read out in full. Text stays clear and high in contrast, and the layout adapts to large font sizes.
Private by design
• No ads, no account and no tracking
• Uses approximate location only, rounded to about a kilometre before it leaves your phone
• Your saved places and settings stay on your phone
• See for yourself: Settings → What left this phone lists every request the app made in the last 7 days, exactly as it was sent
• Anonymous crash reports help us fix bugs, and you can turn them off in Settings
