The app has improved in the last couple of years and the cameras have been working steady so far/-1 star old review from 2018-Nothing works as it should.

I'm sure it needed some updates and that's why view Pro 2 came out. But, as I've operated vp2, I go back to vp1. I find that I like the controls a lot better, and it handles additional am crest cameras that vp2 does not yet.

Only works on local network. Don't expect to monitor your cameras when you're away from th house. No longer works over a mobile network. Only on local network. Useless. UPDATE: Started working again from remote networks.

Ive got 3 of these cameras I have had for 3 years or more. 1 of those Is the outdoor PTZ and has always worked flawlessly on recording and active. I have had it for at least 6 years. 2 are the indoor PTZ and also work great. After getting used to the app controls, I have no problems with any of them. Great product.

App has been sketchy for a long time. Now. I can't make notifications of my cameras work. It's not even an option if you go into the app itself to turn notifications. Because it won't let you. I'll have to switch camera companies.

I have had the Am crest 960H DVR System with wired cameras for a number of years. It worked well with the old Am crest Link software, and I was able to view cameras locally on a monitor or my computer, and also on my Samsung S10E phone. That old Link app is not compatible with my new Samsung S25. I have tried every thing to be able to remote view. Keep getting "nable to connect to Wi-Fi". My system does not use Wi-Fi it is cabled directly to router. I'm looking into a new Swann system or similar
