I love this app it is way better than just trying to use the remote on its own. And works perfectly. I would hope that it is possible for the firmware of the Yamaha amplifier to be upgraded to the latest Dolby. IE: Dolby Digital Plus or Dolby TrueHD: These support up to 7.1 channels and will preserve the original channel layout.DTS-HD Master Audio: This also supports up to 7.1 channels and will accurately reproduce the original audio mix.

I love the App and my receiver. The only thing that could be better is to display the Remote -> Setup/Options in the application as well as on the TV. If either have to turn my TV on, or stand in front of the unit to adjust these. Awesome overall!

It seems that it's this or MusiCast... At least this is stable, always works. Not as user-friendly as MusiCast, but, unlike MusiCast, it actually works all the time...

Unfortunately this app no longer connects to devices and just crashes, very unfortunate Yamaha are no longer supporting older receivers that don't work with music cast

Will not find receiver after latest update. App is completely useless. Even if you manually enter the ip address it doesn't work. Update: Download the Music Cast app. It works. I'm guessing this app is obsolete now.

Have Rx-v681 receiver. App used to work great, now may connect 1 out of dozen times, shows demo always. Have very good internet strength, but app seems worthless now. Was so much more convenient than remote to see what is going on than receiver face.
