This is the best. We must attention that this app produce for csp models and work with that model very good. I have csp 170 and work with this about 3 years have very good performance. So remember this app produce for 1. Csp models. 2. Cvp models. And compatible with 3. Clp models. 4. Other models that yamaha said.

Gotta have it for the best sound performance and multi level options of what your Yamaha keyboard can do.

Thank you, Yamaha, for developing the Smart Pianist app. It’s been very helpful for learning and practicing music. I especially love how it connects with digital pianos and displays chords. If possible, I would love to see a melody track feature in future updates — that would make it even more useful for self-learners. Great job and please keep improving this amazing app! 🎶👏

Great app, especially for free. I can plug my phone right into my yamaha p125 digital piano and record and save my songs.

Apparently, for yamaha p-225, in order to connect it to an android phone you need a cable which isn't provided with the piano. And even after that in order to continue using the app you need keep the wired connection (I was hoping it might be a one-off initialization thing). On the other hand, it can connect over Bluetooth to iOS... honestly, why even publish an android app...

For such a pricey instrument (CVP-909), it'll be great if such a basic function as connectivity in 2025 worked. Didn't work with my CLP-785 either, thought the upgrade might be better. Maybe I shouldn't fault a music instrument company, but don't promise the ease of use of a such a useful looking feature if it's a lemon. I'm not going to buy extra usb lan adapter, in case you intended, at this point I don't trust even that to work. Bluetooth connects, app detects everything but the piano.
