AV Setup Guide is an application that assists you with cable connections between AV receiver and source devices as well as AV receiver setup. This app guides you through the various settings such as speaker connections, TV and source device connections and assigning the power amp. System illustrations and actual AV receiver images help you understand easily how to make the connections between devices. If your receiver is network capable, setting parameters on this app will automatically be copied to your AV receiver for simple setup.

I originally gave this 2 stars as it first appears to be nothing more that the basic instruction manual BUT I dug deeper into the app, and it solved MANY problems & answered MANY questions I had! 4 stars because I had to dig for info, but it is there if you look!!

Doesn't have my model. I was instructed to install this by the set-up guide sheet that was included with my Yamaha Home Theater. But there is only one home theater model available on the app. Totally useless and a waste of time. Was hoping to find information here, because the Yamaha site doesn't even have a manual for this model. Disappointed.

This guide walks the buyer through the setup of a newly purchased receiver. Mine is a RX-V6A. The guide tells me to connect to the network and illustrates this with a picture of a LAN cable from receiver to router. Later it tells me to connect the tablet wirelessly to the same network. I tried this with a hard-wired connection and also with Wi-Fi but the app never managed to connect. Waste of time.
