Doesn't encrypt folder, only a single file at a time!!! I have used Andrognito in the past, and you could encrypt folders with many items in the folder. UPDATE-AxCrypt answered my email almost instantly and explained how to add multiple files or folders. Great follow up. Thank You

Update: I tried again recently, and apparently, you can now sign into the app without an internet connection. It must cache a hash of your password on device. Much better now. ----- PREVIOUS REVIEW----- No way to use offline. What if I need to decrypt without an internet connection on my mobile device? Please make a paid version of the app that doesn't require signing in just to decrypt.

My original review was written on October 4, 2020, and an update is due. Ax Crypt on PCs performs well as advertised. The team has added encryption and landscape rotation to the moble version. For the PC version alone, this app is worth the small yearly expense for kryptonite encryption. Currently, the mobile version has been rewritten due to Play Store requirements, and has some quirks. They're working on it, so 4.5 stars.

Before you waste your time downloading this app and creating an account, be aware that the free version is only a viewer and does not encrypt files. You have to pay 5.99 per month are 59.99 per year to encrypt files.

I've used the desktop version for 20 years. Works like a charm. The mobile version is complete trash! First you need to sign in. OK, done. Next it only lets you encrypt or decrypt one file at a time. Then, and here's the real kicker, you can't find the file anywhere on your phone. Also, I have my screen slightly enlarged to 125%. Every other app I've ever used fits itself to this ratio. Not Ax crypt! I'd pay a lifetime subscription fee if the app worked half as good as the desktop. Bad

The whole point of encryption, is about privacy and security. I don't want to create an online account, just to encrypt local files. I would not trust this developer.
