Description
The Balloon-tracking application is an application that works with the https://www.balloon-tracking.eu website. To use the application, you need a registration at https://www.balloon-tracking.eu.
Together, the application and the https://www.balloon-tracking.eu website provide a complex service for organizers, pilots and officials of hot air balloon competitions. The application measures and records on the mobile device and then transmits to the server the data measured during the race.
The system will make available and display the information you need based on your role in the selected competition.
On the subpage for each comptetion, you can set which of your data recorded during the event and transmitted to the server can be displayed publicly and what only the jury can see.
While the application is running, the data is stored in the media store, so access to the media store must be enabled for the application to work properly. Uploading photos for recorded tracks requires additional permissions for the app to access photos stored on your device.
In some modes of operation, the application retrieves and records the GPS position data available from the device and transmits it to the server, so the application may stop without providing access to the location data.
Hot air balloon captains and officials can also use the external sensor unit (PBS Tube), and all registered users have the opportunity to try the „Training mode” which will help them to learn how to use the application.
