Since the most recent update (2026) l have been locked out of the app several times already when the internet cuts out momentarily due to interference from trains and heavy traffic going past my home. L received a message saying that lt is my responsibility to ensure that my phone (samsung A12) is compatible with the service. Unfortunately l don't have any control over the interference from traffic. So l'm wondering if l might need to choose between moving house and changing banks ?

I don't need to use my laptop to access my account anymore. It's so functional. Move money on schedule to another account. Auto round up feature paid into your highest interest account. I love banking with Bank Australia, knowing my money is working for renewables.

Why have you blocked non-stock Android devices from being able to use this app? For an ethical credit union, your use of Google services like the basic malware that is Play Integrity is extremely dimwitted. Almost as dim as continuing to use Google Wallet, despite it being basically spyware. Can you junk this stupid choice, then maybe add some useful features, like NFC payments in app, or put the widget back? For now, I guess I'll use the garbage website. And wait in hope for a fix.

Leaving Bank Australia over Graphene OS incompatibility. Blocking privacy-hardened Android isn't "security," it's vendor lock-in. Graphene OS uses hardware attestation (StrongBox) & verified boot, making it safer than stock Android. Your Play Integrity checks reject it for lacking Google Services, not failing real integrity tests. Fix: migrate to Android Key Attest instead of legacy Safety Net. Moving my loyalty elsewhere.

App worked well until the security team decided to block Graphene OS, which is a more secure OS than stock android. I'll just have to stick with my Commonwealth Bank account that I was trying to migrate from.
