Not bad. Could do with a rain radar view like the met Office.

Better than the revamped Met Office app, but this could do with a user adjustable amount of transparency on the widget. Please fix "your local forecast is not available" when using a widget.

Accurate except for the Trent Valley areas and villages either side of the A38 from Street hay to Burton on Trent where there seems to be a microclimate that is occasionally different from the surrounding areas

More accurate than Met Office. And since the Met Office updated their app, BBC Weather is easier to use.

Quite simple forecast. Useful for a quick look. Other weather apps have more details. Too much scrolling in the UI. Most annoyingly although this app echoes Met office weather warnings, they are text only, not on a map. All this said, I have now re-installed this as being better than the Feb'26 update of the Met Office app.

Time to ditch this app twice now after updates now asking again to sign in rubbish ill stick with met office app that's where bbc gets info from. Anyway and much better

I used to swear by this app but it's so negative and inaccurate now. If you planned your day by BBC weather you'd never leave the house. It will often give the daily summary as heavy rain, yet the hourly break-down might only show heavy rain for one hour of the day, and that one hour rarely arrives. It constantly forecasts rain than never transpires aswell. It's a glass half empty app. Met Office is much more accurate and far less a doom merchant!

What happened? Returning to BBC app after Met Office destroyed their app and there's no hourly widget?! Plus the widgets that there are seemed to time out and show an error message after a while, and have to be refreshed to show the weather. Is this some ruse to force "engagement" with the app? On the plus side, at least the BBC isn't selling my location data to 3rd parties, unlike the Met Office, so have a second star for that.
