This morning, I was in the ferry line up at Duke, I exited our motor home to pay at the toll both. Our male feline made a dash for freedom, 2 toll booths over he stopped under a pickup truck, the toll booths stopped traffic until I retrieved our 11-month-old pet. I can't turn notifications on. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app twice. I checked "allow Notifications" during the installation. When I check under app settings, the "allow notifications" option is grayed out, and I can't click it to on. It data "all notifications from this app are blocked". Everything else works fine.

Unimpressed I used the app to book 2 sailings on the same ferry for the same day. After booking the second sailing, a canceled reservation for the same day appeared on the "my bookings" page. I assumed that the app had cancelled the booking to eliminate double booking the same trip on the same account. So I booked through a friend. Now there are 3 bookings in my account 2 active and one cancelled. When I called BC ferries to get help to fix this they were more than willing to keep my booking fee

This app is really convenient to book a ferry and show your booking at the terminal. The app however like everything BC ferries does falls short of being helpful. I've tried to book a ferry several times with the app but every time I go to pay it says my postal code is invalid no matter how many times I try, and I end up having to close and open it many times. Also, the current conditions cameras are stuck on Jan 1 and don't update on the app. There's a lot of potential, but it needs a lot of work.
