Direct Ferries is perfect for quick ferries. I really like Direct Ferries; it has the best user interface of any ferry booking site I've tried. It's perfect for short hops like the one I'm taking from Singapore to Batam. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that you can't book the premium options, which are especially important for overnight ferries in Asia. Otherwise, you'll end up sleeping on the floor with a hundred others in a brightly lit room.

The app is useful for finding ferries, but has a glitch where 2/4 times I made a booking, I made a payment using GPay and the money is taken but no tickets or booking number issued. One I was able to reverse the other, DF has just taken my money and won't give it back. (Dispute is with Visa now, > a month later). Won't risk using again.

They confirmed the refund amount to be PHP 27,610.00. I proceeded with the cancellation because it was close to the original price I paid for. They said that they have processed my refund and I have to wait for it to be credited to my bank account. After more than 10 days, no refund was made. I followed up my request, and then they created a new ticket and my refund amount decreased to just Php21,048.79. You literally said you had technical issues. How is it customer's fault? Horrible service

Always book through directly through the ferry line. Direct Ferries charged me twice and issued no ticket or confirmation email. It is impossible to talk to a human, and they will not do refunds.
