Birdie Break has been great to find sitters. My wife and I tried finding someone willing, able, and reliable in our neighborhood, but it was actually way more difficult, and we can't provide the same level of background screening Birdie Break can. The people applying are often local teachers, early childhood educators, and university students studying adjacent subjects. I'd have a hard time finding such high quality sitters. Not to mention the current payment structure is very fair for everyone.

I'm a nanny. I heard about this app through my local news and wanted to try it to get some more work as I could really use the money. I applied and had an interview with an employee from Birdie. During the interview, I asked for a name and phone number of someone that works for the company for the criminal record check to go to. Then I waited. A week passes, and I think I've been forgotten about, so I sent a reminder email. That was 2 months ago, and I still haven't heard anything.
