I installed 7 ceiling fans using receivers for each fan: one premium receiver costing $40 and six budget receivers at $25 each. I also invested $129 in the hub. Unfortunately, the performance has been inconsistent. Sometimes the fans work, and sometimes they don’t. I live in a 1600 sq. ft. U-shaped house with typical construction materials (no brick or cinder block), so signal interference shouldn't be an issue. Yet, I’ve experienced problems with both the expensive and cheaper receivers.

Today the fireplace stopped working, it still works with the remote but not with bond. Ceiling fans still work, so I won't give it one star. I tend to have at least one or two moments a year when I know the bond device is in the house, and they aren't good memories. This device is one that should kindly sit in the background and not be noticed. If you don't notice it, it means everything is working correctly. I really have mixed feelings about it.
