Cam Viewer is designed to work with Series 1 WiFi enabled Nextbase Dash Cams. Currently compatible with Nextbase NBDVR312GW, NBDVR380GW, NBDVR412GW, NBDVR512GW, NBDVR612GW, MIRROR and DUO-HD. (Series 2 Dash Cams require use of MyNextbase Connect.)
Cam Viewer will allow Live View from the Dash Cam in addition to viewing video / photo files stored upon the camera and also downloading to your connected device for viewing later.
For your own safety do NOT operate CamViewer or your Dash Cam whilst driving.

Early days as just had my Next Base dashcam fitted recently, but the app seems to provide video downloads from the camera ok. However, experienced problems resetting the password with the app, then finding I couldn't connect to the dashcam at all. Solution was to forget the Next Base Wi-Fi on phone, reset the dashcam, and reinstall from scratch. Don't know if this was a problem with the app, the dashcam or interface between them, but all quite stressful for someone with limited tech-savvy!

To everyone having trouble connecting their dash cams to a smartphone: check if you have the latest firmware on your dash cam! Initially, I couldn't connect mine to my smartphone, but then I realized it was running old software (version 3.5), so installed the new version (6.5). It was a very easy process, the new software and instructions are on the Next base website. Now it works great! The app is okay but not ideal; I can only share the videos. I can't download them directly to my phone.

Really simple to use. Turn on Wi-Fi on dash cam, select the option in the app to link to dash cam, select the dash cam that comes up on the screen, select the option to view video.

Had my camera fitted by a garage yesterday, got home, and downloaded the app, but it does not work. My phone is telling me there is a bug in the app. Also the dashcam setting in the app are greyed out

Rubbish app which does not connect to a dealer approved dashcam. I have tried 10 times to connect the app to the camera. It can't find it! Come on next base you can do better than to publish a flaky app. Garmin apps on the other hand have been great with their products... btw. the device has the latest firmware.

Absolute rubbish!!! The worst dash cam app ever. It is very difficult to set up. It wouldn't pair with one's phone. Stay away from this rubbish

Terrible app doesn't work I'm a driving instructor, and I need easy access to my dash cam footage, to the point it's a requirement by my insurance to have one running. I don't even know if it's recording or not, as the app doesn't work and won't connect to my Dashcam. Either fix your app or expect a class action lawsuit heading your way from people who can't access their footage when they need it.
