To everyone having trouble connecting their dash cams to a smartphone: check if you have the latest firmware on your dash cam! Initially, I couldn't connect mine to my smartphone, but then I realized it was running old software (version 3.5), so installed the new version (6.5). It was a very easy process, the new software and instructions are on the Next base website. Now it works great! The app is okay but not ideal; I can only share the videos. I can't download them directly to my phone.

Early days as just had my Next Base dashcam fitted recently, but the app seems to provide video downloads from the camera ok. However, experienced problems resetting the password with the app, then finding I couldn't connect to the dashcam at all. Solution was to forget the Next Base Wi-Fi on phone, reset the dashcam, and reinstall from scratch. Don't know if this was a problem with the app, the dashcam or interface between them, but all quite stressful for someone with limited tech-savvy!

Really simple to use. Turn on Wi-Fi on dash cam, select the option in the app to link to dash cam, select the dash cam that comes up on the screen, select the option to view video.

This App doesn't work properly as it should. Tried to connect to dash cam though Wi-Fi, but does not show the network in app.

This app is absolutely terrible. The dash cams not much better. You can't even read number plates. I regret buying these, only reason I did was because it needed to be down via dealership and was sold this at a ridiculous price. Its absolutely ridiculous to try and download the dashcam footage also. Shows no option to download directly to phone only send to someone /upload. Disappointed in next base customer services also, they do not listen, clueless, do not care and ridiculously unhelpful.

Had my camera fitted by a garage yesterday, got home, and downloaded the app, but it does not work. My phone is telling me there is a bug in the app. Also the dashcam setting in the app are greyed out
