Mayera has been doing this for years now. I have a Samsung s21 ultra with android 14. This is one of the few that works great on my phone. It's a decent app. I have the paid version, so I can lock and unlock at will. I think a proper added feature would be to be able to choose which camera to lock. Have the ability to disable the front camera without locking the rear camera. After all, the only reason I want it, is so that someone can't remotely access my front camera while my phone sits in its holster.

This is a nice and simple to use camera blocker app. Very easy user interface.

Does not work as advertised, does not disable the cameras, you have to enable permission for the ap to overlay other aps, when you do this and try to use an ap that uses the camera blocker overlays the screen and prevents you using the ap, but if you turn off permission to overlay other laps but still have the ap enabled to block the camera you can still use the camera as normal. The whole point to a camera blocking ap is to block the camera being used without your knowledge.

App only blocks the camera for three hours in the free version.

The free version only blocks the camera temporarily and then automatically unblocks the camera. The paid version blocks the camera until you unblock it. This is to sell the paid version. I'm fine with that. However, I'm not OK with the fact that when the free version automatically unblocks the camera, neither the widget nor the notification are updated and continue to indicate that the camera is blocked. This intentional misinformation changes the app from providing security to adding risk.
