Simple. Nice clear presentation. Keeps it to the absolute essential - sales and bills-so good to check on things on the road. If you want more visibility or more functions, then use a browser as long as you can cope with the small size.

A fantastic option for simple accounting, ideally suited to sole traders. I've done my own accounting for a limited company for years, using some good and some bad accounting software; the structure and simplicity of this app puts it amongst the best. It appears that the MTD reports will need to be submitted from the web browser interface. Adding the facility to do this in the app would put it head and shoulders above the others.

Probably a bit early.....but I would rather create an invoice than create expenses...can't spend it if you've not got it!!! Will continue to use the old web based version.which is outstanding for me.

I thought I'd jump on the MTD digital early and try and iron out any issues unfortunately this software is unintuitive, and you'll need a degree in accounting to use it it doesn't do even basic things very easily at all such as milage allowance my accounts are simple but not on this software I changed 1 thing, and it destroyed a year's worth of accounts, so I ended up wiping to start again then it would only load 1 month instead of the year I've now used HMRC to opt out for two years

Useless for sole traders. Far, far too complex to perform simple daily tasks of categorizing expenses and income. It seems to assume it's connected to business bank accounts. Can't even see all uncategorized transactions on one page! Need to click into each bank feed in turn. Quickbooks has a great feature. See all transactions on one page. Swipe them right for personal and left to categorize as business. Why can't Clear Books do this? Seems designed for large, multi employee organizations.
