I think the ones that can't connect is because you need the controller installed where the light switch is. It cost as much as the light does.

I have the pool light on, app installed, app running, phone is about 60" away from light...yet not able to connect via Bluetooth and after hitting the connect button on page 1 the light does not connect automatically nor does it pop up on page 2...the screen just says "Select Light" and "Cancel"...hitting the "select light" button does nothing and hitting the "cancel" button takes you back to page 1. My light I purchased is bright and therefore doing its job...but this application needs work.

Does not connect to light no matter how close I am or how many times I reset the light.
