Generally good but: Can't monitor my son's app usage in real time ie how long he has been using the phone today and how long for each app. There are figures, but they seem to be weekly figures - today's usage shows: no activity found (frustrating). There is no quick Boost button whereby I can extend his screen time just on this one occasion (I have to adjust the daily settings which requires a lot of clicks!).

I used this to help our teen manage content and screen time. The app did everything it was supposed to do for us, tracking usage of two devices, one ipad and one and android phone. Couldn't see what content was viewed on the ipad, but could track time and which apps were being used. Didn't use location tracking. Even now with all content and time restrictions turned off, I can see how long the device is used, and send them the graph, so they can make good decisions based on the info.

Kids can bypass the restriction by disabling Norton Family Parental Control in accessibility shortcut.

This app has its good points, but the problem if blocked apps aren't run in full screen Norton family doesn't catch it, my son discovered this rendering everything but location tracking useless.

App is unreliable. Parental controls are applied inconsistently. Usage time reporting doesn't reflect what is actually happening. Doesn't block access to apps when phone is locked but notifications are on. Location tracking has never worked. Blocks sites child needs to use for legitimate reasons, even when they appear to be permitted.

Their Parental Control is awfully poor. App management, among other things, is almost useless - and that is the area where parental control should matter most. Parent can just "allow-block" apps without the possibility of limiting screen time per app (which some are necessary). Can't their developers understand that children use mostly of apps in phone? I regretted of paying 2 years subscription for Norton because of such lack of awareness about such small things but essential about daily needs.
