I just set up 2 units. So far so good. One thing I'd like to see changed is the limitation that I only get to see units on the same SSID as my phone. The ACs are on the 2.4 GHz network (they don't detect the 5 GHz) and my phone is on the 5 GHz network. Both networks have different SSIDs and I don't want to change that. But in this setup the app doesn't list the units even though they're on the same subnet. My guess is this is limited within the app because the router doesn't block the traffic.

One of the selling points when buying my heat pump was the fact that it was able to be controlled from your phone and was smart home integrated. However, this app is rubbish - it's slow and unresponsive even on the same Wi-Fi network, and has very limited features compared to those of the remote (basically just choosing your setting and temperature, while the remote has dozens of settings and options). Thousands of dollars spent - I won't be buying anything from Daikin in the future.

App only replicates what the remote control does. No added value, except to control the units 'out of home'. How about adding a straightforward timer option that does not involve setting/scheduling the clock/time? Ideally, I should be able to turn on a unit at any time, set timer, aircon will power off at the end of timer countdown. All these to be done without setting up schedules, no matter what time is on the clock, and even does not need to account for whether the clock is the correct time.
