Great App, does what it sets to do! I would like it to also check the Private and Images Sent folder, as now only does the Images folder. I would like to maybe have a review screen or maybe have the results written afterward for double-checking. I noticed that some photos that are around midnight get the date wrong by one day. Minor issue, since WhatsApp images could have been received a different day from when it was taken. I would also like to see this app for WhatsApp videos.

Works perfectly. Just switched to a new phone, download the old data via WhatsApp backup and all the photos got dated to September 2025. This app detects the name of the WhatsApp picture and changes the metadata accordingly to when the picture was actually taken.

Just want to say thank you, I lost all my phone data (photos of 2 years without any backups) due to receiving an android update, I felt like a part of my life had been wiped off in a snap. The only thing I could do was to go to WhatsApp and download all the photos from conversations, I was desperate when I realized the images has lost all the EXIF information, thanks to your app, at least I could recover them with the correct dates.

It keeps asking for permission. I already gave it permission, but it still does not proceed. Says Approval required. Android 11. Samsung Note 10 Plus.
