Update: I had to refix metadata one folder at a time using filename. The wizard skipped 100s and 100s of files, wonder if cause I have over 20,000 files total? Going go 1 folder at a time to double-check before I run the fix recent order. (((Mostly works fixes some dates but the main issue for me is cloud sync and a bit update messed everything in Facebook and recents etc. This mostly fixed it 90% are correct, but it will still jump 2026 to 2023 for 3 to 4 pics/videos then jump back to 2026)))

Excellent! I was only expecting it to work with images and other metadata blobs built in with the original date. It reset the timestamps on my photos to the -correct- timestamp in the metadata. Photos sorting correctly again! Thanks!

I've been using smartphones since the Galaxy S1, now on S25. This is the first app I've ever purchased. Handles an incredibly frustrating issue with ease. Dev is a bro by allowing unlimited use of the free version, and was just going to rough it with that, but figured I'd save the headache and also reward the Dev. Fixed EXIF data on thousands of images/videos with a few taps, file name parsing worked perfectly, everything is looking great in WhatsApp and Samsung My Files image lists now. Cheers!

Borderline useless free version. Pay 3-9 euro to get Premium. Risk getting all your files MANGLED only for them to have more and more wrong dates. Excuse of an app.

Is there a way to change the dates of files in a folder using their filenames alphabetically for reordering images in downloaded folders?

Claims that, "since Android 11", it needs "all files access". This is not true at all. An app working directly with media, even searching for all images in various locations, does not require All File Access, as since Android 11 it can locate images through "Media store. Images" or "Read_External_Storage" as well. Smells fishy, looks fishy...

It asks for the premium upgrade after too much processing is done. It should limit the selection or at least tell that limit early!
