DS photo allows you to browse through the photo collection on your Synology NAS server on the go, as well as interact with friends using the comments in real time. Organizing your photos is easy: with traditional albums, using tags to create virtual albums or with a simple tap with the timeline mode! Better yet, download albums to the Android device to view them even when no network connection is available, and use the Photo Backup to effortlessly upload your photos taken with your Android device onto your own personal cloud.

Recent changes: Fixed Issues 1. Fixed an issue where backed-up photos might show incorrect modification dates in File Station. 2. Fixed an issue where users might not be able to launch the app after moving it to the SD card. 3. Fixed an issue where the backup option "Keep original file name" might not function normally. 4. Fixed an issue where users might not be able to upload photos taken directly by the app. 5. Fixed an issue where photo backup might stop unexpectedly. 6. Minor bug fixes.

Reviewing this in retrospect having been forced onto DSM 7 to use the total car crash that is Synology Photos. It's true that don't know how good something is until Synology arbitrarily decides you can't have it anymore! To anyone on DSM 6.2, do NOT upgrade yet. To anyone considering a Synology purchase for the purpose of photo management, hold off to see if/how they clear up this mess of their own doing.

With Photo Station, this is miles better than Synology's current media manager offerings. Real photo tagging that stays with the file and Smart albums that work from tags in the files, including facial tags, hierarchical descriptive tags, and description searches.

Not able to sign in for photo backup with DSM 7 and 2-factor authentication. App used to work fine though but needs a fresh update. The 'Synology photos" app is working though.

Doesn't back up all files, even photos and videos. Doesn't back up any videos. Doesn't preserve file structure in some instances. Doesn't automatically inherit authorities for profiles. Requires configuration for each profile and associated folder.

Time stamp 1970 - I've noticed that all the videos that I've uploaded since the end of July have a time stamp set in 1970 - I can no longer use time-line to view my videos as they are not shown correctly! Please fix this!

I can not even login to my account. I have no issues with login with DS Videos and Synology Photo and DS Video. But this app is not working
