I've used Synology Drive for the better part of a decade now, and it's gotten a lot better over time. If you have a Synology at home, or work, it's a free, private and nearly unlimited storage alternative to Minecraft and Google's cloud solutions. Just make sure you back up your data.

Reliable and versatile enough to make specific granular folder backups with the Sync function. It can upload only, have two-way sync, or download from NAS only. It has browsing categories for documents, photos and files as well as one for shared files. No issues during use, and I use it to make instant uploads from my Xiaomi 15 Ultra. But backup function seems to be limited to default camera photos and documents folder.

No longer works since update. It says NAS is not powered on or no internet connection, but when I enter the QC ID it takes me to the login page and details are 100% correct as I can connect using laptops and PCs using the same credentials. Laptops can connect fine even when not on LAN and SMB works fine. Quickconnect.to works fine. Both android and apple mobiles are unable to connect, regardless if on or off the LAN. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the mobile apps and drive server on NAS

Refuses to sync pictures or zip files properly. You thinking NAS app could upload photos without throwing a fit 🙄

Ridiculous app. It does not work. The sync is blocked for photos. Every single day. I try to open manually the backup, but it remains stuck and does not progress. Completely unusable app.

This app is great, and I can't imagine not using it, but this week it started draining my phone's battery to the point of making it unusable. One example I went to sleep with my phone fully charged and woke up to Synology Drive having consumed 70% battery overnight (with no files having changed in that timespan). Had this happen multiple times in the past few days. Please fix this 🙏
