Works as intended. One of the best accessories for the BGE, especially for extremely long cooks. Four stars only because the button to copy the link to the cook on the website doesn't work. Have to go find the cook manually with my device ID.

Does a great job of controlling temperature. Love the charting functionality. An android widget showing pit temp, probe temp, and fan output would be amazing.

I have had a love hate relationship with the genius for a few years now. The initial release of the software was extremely error-prone, and I would spend at least an hour resetting the device every time I tried to use it. Initially, I gave this a horrible review. Several software updates have been released attempting to address the issues. It looks like they are making progress. When this works, it works extremely well. It is a game changer for the BGE. Thank you flame boss for paying attention.

After last update I can no longer set the meat done temperature. The app worked for years, now it's pretty useless.

My egg control was working then somehow I got this update automatically. It uses Bluetooth but my old egg "genius" device has Wi-Fi. Also the new version is just a blank screen on my phone oh yeah, and now I've lost 5 years of cook history and have to run manually on a 24 hour smoked pork. Did I mention that I never needed an update and my device had Wi-Fi not Bluetooth... that's not a setting? I wish I could do zero stars.

App works, but I can't even set a meat temp. Trying to enter 155, app tells me to enter a number between 150-230. It's not like meat temp matters for BBQ, right? C'mon BGE, do better!
