Really easy app to use. Just indicate that you are participating, reduce energy usage for an hour, and get points that can be swapped for shopping vouchers. Reward for very little effort. Lots of reminders to make sure you don't forget. I also used to see usage on my smart meter through the night to check on my solar panel battery. It is a no-brainer for me although it takes quite a while to build up enough points to swap.

I have been using the Equiwatt app to help reduce the need for dirty fossil fuel power being needed at peak times while being rewarded with points to turn into real-world prizes. I have earned 5000 points which I have redeemed for £50 worth of vouchers from well known national and international retailers. Equiwatt makes it easy for everyone to use less electricity at peak times which is when the dirtiest generation sources are used to generate power. Make way for a cleaner grid with Equiwatt!

Would be credible if it supported other devices! Why not support Tasmota open source devices? I cannot use this app without such support. Krs Mark In response to your response. NO! I use my smart switch devices already to save money. But I'm not going to use your app manually. POINTLESS. Introduce support for Tasmota and MTTQ then I may give it a go. Thanks

52 events to-date. Obtained a Kassa plug for my freezer with energy monitoring. For many, many months I got 42 points represents average of 150 Watt hour Now apparently between 9th June 22nd June the average has dropped to 26WH, summer my freezer is on most of the day Equiwatt stated my 35+ year old freezer was running on economy mode, really? Old freezers are on or off Equiwatt team have excuse after excuse, no data verification available They mentioned my account deletion Forum posts deleted

A bit pointless investing in a KASA plug, as this option is rarely used. Most equivalents are now done through the Smart meter, but the way points are awarded seems to be rather hit-and-miss. Ref your comment, scheduled equivalents are via the Smart meter, and non-scheduled (instant) equivalents through the KASA plug, therefore factually incorrect. However, it seems this is not the case now as recent non-scheduled events, hence a waste of time and money. Our house takes part, and I use the app.
