Garmin correctes this overnight. Updating to 4 stars Latest version broken. Device shows as not paired in app, but it is (per device and also Garmin Explore app). Not a rebooting issue, etc. Just broken. Needs a fix ASAP.

This worked great! My son went on a week-long dirt motorcycle trip in the deep woods of the Washington Cascades with no reception. We were able to communicate and track him just as easily as texting your phone with GPS coordinates. It gave us all a huge sense of security knowing we could find him if something happened.

Weird but seems to work - Device pairing, subscription purchase and device activation all worked fine for me (in Reach mini 2). What was slightly bizarre was that after pairing the mini 2, I had to manually turn on the connection to my phone in the device settings in order to activate the device. Will update my review after use in the mountains :).

Buggy and not user-friendly at all. Garmin can't even be bothered to offer a user manual for the app. Won't send imported Contacts to my Garmin GPS despite being Bluetooth connected, I had to wait for imported contacts to sync with the Garmin website from my phone and then use Garmin Express to sync my Contacts from the website to my Garmin GPS. Ridiculous. Be warned that you can't pay for In Reach subscription on Garmin's website, you must use this fantastic app. FAIL.

The update this morning broke my in reach messenger Bluetooth pairing to my phone. In contrary to others I liked the app, but now it's broken. Constantly come up with pair your device even Bluetooth says it's paired. I paired through the app. Android. I hope they fix the bug today
