Comments on HexaTrek : French Thru-hike for Android

Overall a good guide so far, but a couple of things would add value. For example, the ability to add comments to waypoints allowing for more accurate descriptions. Also, and much simpler, would be the ability to save waypoints allowing the user to plan a route beyond just the day of. Nonetheless, loving the Hexa!

All you need for a successful through hike. Highly recommend!

Great application, distances and elevation are off in some parts. Usually just a few meters, but it tends to add up. Just be prepared to sometimes do a few more steps than expected. Otherwise it's really worth it imo and the comments/ new waypoints are a great source of information. Ideally you could download those comments in bulk, which unfortunately was not the case last year.

As someone currently hikes the HexaTrek, I would say this app is pretty disappointing. It is constantly outdated, poorly digitized, and filled with inaccuracies that can really mislead your hike. To pay so much for an unfinished product feels predatory. If I could do it over I would use the available .gpx in mapping apps I already have. (This poor review should not characterize the HexaTrek route itself, it's still an awesome experience, but this app misleads users in how established it is.)
